I have implemented a primitive CAPTCHA system on my COREBlog installation:

http://askingforthirds.org/dan

I've been able to reuse this:
http://askingforthirds.org/scott
and
http://lethargicmind.com

*but* my solution requires a bunch of images to be uploaded and access
to an SQL database.

The justificaction for me using these two technologies was that they
made it easier to implement. I would be willing to donate my code to a
person re-implementing this as a zope/coreblog only solution.

Thank you for your time,
Daniel Fisher
